Hi there and welcome to The Happiness Page!
My name is Petra and I’m the founder of The Happiness Page, where you will find articles and info on happiness, joy, contentment and all the different ways that might be able to assist in attaining those things as well as plainly find you entertained.
A quick note straight up: This page or any of the articles and info mentioned do not in any form aim to substitute therapy or any other help or advice you can only get from a health professional. Anything on this page is only meant for informational purposes and may be food for thought or just plain entertainment.

A Long Time In The Making
Initially I started this website in 2011, but then life happened and it kind of moved into the background. Now it’s back on the forefront and I’m very happy about that, as it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a loooong time.
I’ve always been interested in people and what makes them tick; how people behave and why and how behaviour can be changed. My all time favourite question in life is: Why? (To the annoyance of some people, haha.)
Eventually this led me to study Psychology. And although I hold a BSocSc(Psych) I am not a Psychologist or practicing therapist.
But I am happy to pour my attained knowledge into articles and information that might be able to assist in understanding certain things about why we feel the way we feel.
This website is for those people who are also interested in why things happen the way they do, why people behave and feel certain ways sometimes and to give ideas or information on how things or behaviour (not people, sorry) might be changed.
What Am I Trying To Achieve?
I know I’m repeating myself a bit here, but this website is here to give information only.
I might cover topics such as meditation or yoga, share psychological articles and might even talk about exercise and nutrition. Other topics might include relationships and friendship, work life and probably at some point cats.
I intend to back up articles and info with proper studies where possible, so you can delve deeper into certain topics if you are interested.
I also might just share silly things which are good for a laugh or things that I find inspirational or interesting for some reason or other.
